Significant energy bill savings
Kate Garlick – Hertfordshire
For Kate, installing a solar system was a key part of a long-term savings plan. The prospect of living comfortably in retirement was looking increasingly bleak as energy bills continued to skyrocket. One of the main concerns people have when deciding if they should purchase solar panels is whether it will be worthwhile financially, and Kate was no different. She wasn’t sure how much she’d be able to save while having to finance her initial investment. After receiving advice from our experts, she decided to go ahead with the installation and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. She’s already slashed her energy bills and was so impressed by our service that she’s now looking to optimise her savings by upgrading her solar battery storage system.

Solar PV + Battery Storage
Isabela – Cambridgeshire
While the financial benefits of solar PV panels are always attractive, Isabela was particularly conscious of the environment and wanted to produce her own renewable energy. She aimed to reduce her carbon footprint by becoming less reliant on grid energy that predominantly comes from burning harmful fossil fuels. The only reason she hadn’t already committed to solar power was that she was waiting for a solution that combined panels and battery storage. Much to her delight, this was something Everyone’s Energy could provide. The customer’s bespoke solar system gives her the freedom to either use energy as it’s being absorbed by her panels, or to store it in her batteries for use outside of daylight hours. Both options help her to save money and the planet.

SOLAR EXPLAINED
How does solar PV work?
Your solar PV panels will work by converting sunlight into electricity. The panels generate power, which is used in your home.
Any extra electricity can be sent back to the grid, potentially earning you money. If you have a battery storage system, it stores extra energy for when you need it such as at night, or when it’s cloudy.
Solar technology advancements mean everyone can benefit from solar energy, even if your garden isn’t south-facing or you have a smaller roof. Overall, our UK solar panel installers will provide you with a green solution that can significantly cut your bills. And when energy companies are upping their prices, more power to the people we say!
FAQ's
My property is not south-facing, I’ve been told I can’t have solar PV?
While south-facing properties are optimal for solar energy, and east- and west-facing properties work very well, we supply fully bespoke systems, regardless of direction.
Do I need a big roof and space for lots of panels for it to work?
Advancements in solar technology mean panels now have higher capacity, making them more efficient and requiring less roof space. Our expertise ensures we recommend the best system for your roof, maximising its potential. Contact us today for expert advice.
How do solar panels work with your electric bill in the UK?
In the UK, solar panels contribute to significantly reducing your electric bill by generating electricity from sunlight. The generated power is used to meet your home’s energy needs, reducing reliance on the grid during daylight hours. Any excess electricity not used can be expired back to the grid for payment. If using a solar battery storage solution, energy generated during the day can be stored to power your home at night when there is no sunlight, further reducing your energy bills.
Do solar panels work on a cloudy day?
Yes. Less sunlight reaches the solar panels on cloudy days resulting in lower energy production. However, modern solar panels are designed to capture diffused sunlight, allowing them to generate electricity even in overcast conditions.
How do solar panels work at night?
Solar panels, when paired with battery storage systems, enable you to store excess solar energy produced during the day so you can use it to power your home at night. This allows you to rely on solar even when the sun isn’t shining, reducing your dependence on the grid and cutting your energy bills.
I didn’t think it was a good investment now the government has taken away the payments?
This is a general misconception. Since the Feed-In Tariff has disappeared for new installs, the price of solar has reduced massively! Now, you can install a solar PV system and a power-saving device from £4,500. We aim to show our customers savings of up to 80% on their energy bills – this can vary depending on individual circumstances.
Solar panels are overpriced, it will take me years to get a return on investment?
Our customers typically gain a return on investment at around 8 years. We offer solar panel installation with no upfront costs to cover the initial installation through our fantastic FCA-regulated finance options.
Will I get a benefit if I’m at work all the time?
With solar smart battery systems, producing your own energy does not go to waste as it allows you to store your energy for use later. Check out our solar PV battery storage solutions to find out more.
What is the installation timescales and process?
While installation duration can vary, on average, a solar PV installation takes between 6-8 hours – enough time for you to put your feet up and have a cup of tea while we get to work. The process involves a thorough site assessment, design planning, installation, and connection to the grid.
What is the warranty period?
Everyone’s Energy provides a 10 year workmanship warranty with every installation. The products installed will be covered by the manufacturer directly; Certain warranties can be up to 25 years!
